The Shop Class is a home improvement program which allows the teens to learn the basics and some of the advanced ways in building houses.

From the activities that they can do in the program they would realize if they really want to pursue a career in carpentry. But even though they realized that they are not that interested in carpentry anymore, they still have an advantage with this program. So instead of taking it out through vices or even violence, they may do something more useful and productive. They may also start thinking about getting a career in home building as well.

Teens may also get to learn the different tasks that are usually done around the house including furniture fixing, repairing the pipes, and a lot more. I agree. Anywhere that lets kids, teens and even adults be creative in lieu of “the streets” is a place that’ll help themselves and society as a whole. We can all start with being creative in the home.
